Whopping price amount of $1M for the fastest texter in the World by LG

LGThe second Mobile Worldcup competition for fast and accurate texting will commence soon, according to LG. Hold your breath as the Mobile Worldcup 2009 winner will be getting a stunning prize of 1 million US dollars.

The contest will initiate on 15th August with its first round being held in Indonesia, four weeks after the commencement of the national league and other mobile related events. It is said that 200 texters will be battling at the Jakarta Theater to gain a place in the finals and win a whopping price of 1 million dollars.

Similar events will be held in 13 more countries, including Vietnam, Malaysia, South Africa, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Russia, China and South Korea.

The winners from all such events will join the U.S. and Canadian finalists who have already been named. The World Championship finals will be organized in U.S. in November. In the finals the participants will compete with each other over several rounds for the title “The World’s Fastest Texter”. The ultimate winner will walk away with the title and of course 100,000 US dollars. Last year when the first LG Mobile Worldcup competition was held, 7000,000 people took part. This time the company expects an increase in number and their estimate is that over 6 million people will come forward to compete in this unique competition.

    Above you said 1 million and here 100 thousand? Am I reading wrong or there is some mistake? I think you missed a zero :)
